England Ahoy!

My mom has a thing for history.

Some moms would focus, when home schooling, on doing quirky science crafts, some moms would be totally lax and let their kids do whatever they want, but no, I happened to be born to the mother who teaches us manners, the fruits of the spirit, and history.

We all have mixed emotions.

Sometimes it's cool, like when we made stew that monks made hundred of years ago, or when we go on cool field trips, but sometimes it means reading 180 page books which are so factual they would be better off as bullet points.  This time it's cool because we are going to England. We're each studying a queen or king and are writing a narration about it.

Abe was born like my mom, where he has a knack for remembering facts (and football scores) about events in history and enjoys it.

Ella also remembers facts, and enjoys reciting facts relating to what we're learning to annoy Sadie and I.

As for me and Sadie, we can remember facts too. (That's the problem with hanging around with this crowd, you learn things!) We will arrive in England on Wednesday, baggage, useless facts, and all. We are all looking forward to a country that speaks English and the chance to show off whose king/queen was the most interesting.

Enthusiastically Yours,
My King: Richard the Lion-Hearted
Mia
