Summer is a splendid time of year!
It brings good tidings and much cheer!
And now with classes gone away,
The joy we feel is here to stay!
Summer is an oven and a test,
It seems the hot will never rest.
The nights are short the days are long.
Noons so hot it must be wrong.
Summer is a sometimes a bore,
Weeding Garden and yard gallore!
And you're sweaty and tired and hot,
And there are some weeds you forgot!
Summer, summer, come again!
We treasure you like a friend.
We'll miss you, and wish you,
Much good cheer,
Just as you brought us this very year!
I really like this poem, Mia.
ReplyDeleteYou make me blush sister!
ReplyDeleteI actually am mortified by this post and am thinking of deleting it.
The last paragraph in particular is atrocious!
